Latest on the Isle of Man carriage

This first class carriage is not living up to its name yet  – but watch this space.

But great things are happening in the guard/third class compartment thanks to Toby and Peter. The whole carriage is fully glazed now and the new leather straps installed. The floor, with its distinctive diagonal boards, has been refurbished. Note the lovingly restored brass fitting that holds the strap. We hope to have two compartments on show this season.
