With progress at Blyth Road changing on an almost daily basis, many truckloads of imported topsoil have now been sculpted by our friendly earth mover to create a more level site on which to develop the route of the 7¼” gauge Blyth Valley Light Railway. The shape of the proposed lake is also now also evident, with many of the wildflowers on the site still blooming away merrily nonetheless. Here are a few of them (including feral buddleia plants just starting to flower and attract the red admirals and painted ladies).
